Contest Rules: Each contestant may select one horse in each steeplechase race to either win, place or show. Points will be awarded based on the amount of each winning $2 mock wager, with no points deducted for losing wagers (for example, if you make a $2 mock win wager on a horse that wins and pays $8.60, you will have earned 8.60 points; if you make a $2 mock win wager on a horse that runs second, you will not have won or lost any points). The winners will be the three people who accululate the most points in the 12 steeplechase races run during the Saratoga 2000 meet, beginning with the first steeplechase race held on July 26th, 2000 and concluding with the last steeplechase race held on August 31, 2000.

Please note that no currency will ever change hands during the course of this contest, and that only the top three winners will be entitled to receive the prizes set forth above at the conclusion of this contest. All mock wagers made during the course of this contest are mythical and all mock wagers accepted in this contest are for contest participation only; they do not constitute a valid claim to any actual wagering pools whatsoever. Only one entry per person per race. All entries must be received at least one hour prior to post time on the day of the applicable race. You can enter the contest before, on or after July 24, 2000 and you do not have to play every race in the contest. Horses that are coupled for pari-mutuel wagering purposes shall run as a coupled entry for purposes of this contest (for example, if you select one half of a coupled entry to win and the other half of the entry wins, you have correctly picked the winner of the race for purposes of this contest. Similarly, if you select one half of a coupled entry to win and the horse you selected scratches, your contest selection becomes the other half of the entry.) If the horse that you selected scratches you will be deemed to have passed that race.
